Filet-O-Fish

Created in 1962 by a McDonald's franchise owner, the Filet-O-Fish sandwich was introduced as a response to declining hamburger sales on Fridays in a predominantly Catholic neighborhood. It quickly gained popularity and was added to McDonald's menus nationwide in 1963.
