The California Theatre
The California Theatre For The Performing Arts opened in 1928. It still has the original Wurlitzer pipe organ. Filmmakers would test screen movies here such as King Kong and The Wizard Of Oz in the 1930's. Will Rogers gave his last performance here in 1935 being killed in a plane crash.
