The aircraft designed and duplicated of the P-51 Mustang flown by the Colonel in World War II. A crowd favorite at Air Shows and flown the last two years in the prestigious Reno Air Races. Colonel Robert J. (Bob) Friend (February 29, 1920 - June 21, 2019), a veteran of 142 combat missions, recently honored at his Memorial Service by a Missing Man Formation of F-16 fighter jets from the 187th Fighter Wing from the Alabama Air National Guard in a national event at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
