Bodybuilder Convicted Of Murder
Bodybuilder CRAIG TITUS placed 5th in the Iron Man Pro Invitational in Pasadena, Calif. in 2004. Titus, then 40, and his wife, Kelly Ryan, then 33, were charged in the murder of Melissa James, 28, their former live-in personal aide. James' body was found early Dec. 14 2005 in the trunk of Ryan's burned-out Jaguar sedan, abandoned in the desert outside Las Vegas. On August 22 2008 Titus was was convicted of second-degree murder, kidnapping and arson. He was sentenced to 21 to 55 years in prison. Ryan, 35, pleaded guilty to arson and battery with a deadly weapon with significant bodily harm and sentenced to 3 to 13 years in prison.
